How it works
The idea in one line
A half-built repo or a raw idea isn't worthless — it's waiting for the right second owner. Cinderella scrubs it clean, prices it fairly, and helps it find that owner. One person's dead-end is another's head-start.
Selling — from upload to payout
Drag in a zip of a project, or write up a raw concept with no code yet. Real code lists at /sell; a pure idea posts at /sell/idea.
An automated scrubber strips .env files, keys, database dumps, and PII, and leaves safe placeholders — so you never hand a stranger your secrets. Anything risky is flagged for a human before it can go live.
A weighted rubric (completeness, code volume, tests, docs, polish, cleanliness) produces a readiness score out of 100 and a suggested price range. You can accept it, set your own price, or offer it free in exchange for equity / rev-share.
Your listing appears in the marketplace with its scrub result, readiness, and Cindy's independent take. Buyers can message you, make offers, or buy outright.
When a buyer pays, the money is held in escrow, then released to your connected Stripe account after the inspection window. See Pricing & fees and Trust & safety.
Buying — from browse to hand-off
Explore the full marketplace, filter by category, or ask Cindy — the AI assistant on every listing — about ownership, fees, and fit.
Repos with a set price can be bought outright; anything else takes an offer. Ideas can be bought or negotiated. Full pitches for ideas unlock after a quick confidentiality acknowledgment, so concepts aren't free to lift.
Your payment is held — not sent straight to the seller — until you've confirmed the hand-off, or the inspection window passes.
You get the cleaned code bundle plus any extra assets the seller attached, then rate the experience 1–5. Those reviews build each seller's public reputation.
